In the morning of 12 January, Offshore Construction Division (OCD) – a subsidiary of Vietsovpetro Joint Venture (VSP) - summarized the HSE work and certified 1 million LTI-free hours for the construction of 3 platforms RC-4, RC-5, and RC-DM of Nam Rong – Doi Moi field.
The project is invested by Vietnam - Russian - Japan Petroleum Company (VRJ), commenced construction in October 2008. This is a large-scale complex project, with a total structural weight of the both jacket and Topside is 8700 tons. Apart from OCD – the main constructor, subcontractors - Lilama, PVC –MS and PVC-MS also participated in the construction. In the duration from October 2008 to September 2009, the process of fabrication, load-out, offshore installation and commissioning for categories had been successfully completed in turn with 1 million hours without LTI. Specially, timely operation of RC-DM platform enabled VSP to complete drilling and flow assurance of the first oil in Nam Rong – Doi Moi field on 29 December 2009. It is scheduled to do the next flow assurance in RC-DM on 13 January; and RC-4 in late January 2010.
