Vietsovpetro Logging & Testing Division (L&TD) was established in June 2"^d, 1983 by the 3^rd Assembly Solution of VietSovPetro Joint Venture. This is an unique organization of PetroVietnam, which supplies special service in the petroleum industry for exploration and production activities.

Over the last few years, the division has upgraded and updated their technologies and facilities, improved the quality of data collection, interpretation and analysis applied almost all modern logging methods. The division is qualified to supply other petroleum companies operating on the Vietnamese continental shelf such as: recording/collection, interpretation and analyses of logging data required, for oil and gas exploration and production, defining porosity, permeability, rock composistion, oil content, production interval and evaluation of oil reserves.
